“Porch Lights” is a gateway feature for the City of Leawood.  Rear illuminated molded glass lenses set in cut Kansas limestone and a copper “porch roof” reinforces the practice of welcoming people to Leawood by leaving the porch lights on.  The historic post-war neighborhoods are further referenced by the use of the popular at the time “V” for victory symbol.
